the reason Tarasenko stayed in the KHL after he was drafted was to finish out the KHL contract he signed. with the success the blues were having last year he really wanted to come over then but he decided to stay in the KHL out of respect for the contract he signed. in fact he got traded to a low teir team right before the trade deadline, as the team he signed with knew he would be leaving after his contract was up.
oh and the coach is bitter too.
